Instructions

Cable Preparation:
  • Strip the RG58 coaxial cable to reveal the inner conductor and shielding. Typically, strip approximately 10 mm of the outer jacket, 6 mm of the shielding, and 3 mm of the dielectric.
Connector Attachment:
  • Slide the crimp ferrule onto the cable.
  • Insert the prepared cable into the PL259 connector, ensuring the center conductor fits into the center pin and the shielding contacts the connector body.
Crimping:
  • Use a crimping tool to securely crimp the ferrule onto the connector. Ensure the crimp is firm to maintain signal quality and connection stability.
Connection Check:
  • Test the connection by gently pulling on the cable and connector. The connection should be secure, with no movement or looseness.
Final Inspection:
  • Verify that there are no exposed conductors or shielding. The connector should be securely fastened to the cable, providing a clean and professional finish.
